MASTURBATION

Masturbation is an act of stimulating oneself sexually especially with the use of one’s hands, it can sometimes be done with a partner.

It also means to stimulate someone else sexually without penetration of the male organ.

It can also be defined as the manual erotic stimulation of the genitals or other erotic region of the body to orgasm, either by oneself or a partner.

A question was asked some time ago by someone she said:

“I help my boyfriend to release sperm from his penis because we have agreed that we won’t have sex before marriage. Is it a sin?

From the second definition above … stimulate someone else sexually without penetration of the male organ. This form of sexual activity is referred to as outercourse as stated by Pastor Mrs. Shade Olukoya. And every form of outercourse is masturbation.  Now to the sinful nature of masturbation:

Most preachers and teachers of the bible have argued decisively that masturbation is not a sin and that it is not stated in the bible as the sin of fornication is clearly stated several times, but the bible makes reference to it in Leviticus 15:16-17

“And if any man’s seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water and be unclean until the even. And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall he washed with water and be unclean until the even.

According to the above scripture, if a man’s seed of copulation (semen) goes out of him, it will make him unclean and every flesh and cloth that comes in contact with it also shall be unclean. Just as fornication and adultery, makes one unclean, masturbation likewise does the same and every form of uncleanliness is a sin.

As a man, there are two ways by which semen leaves the body of a man without him being engaged in the normal act of any intimate sexual relationship and that is by wet dreams and masturbation.

Wet dreams formally known as nocturnal emission is a spontaneous orgasm during sleep that causes semen ejaculation for the male or vaginal wetness for the female or orgasm (or both). It is an accidental and unintentional thing. Therefore, it is not a sin that can be counted against you. Medical science tells us that it helps to release tension especially in men. Nocturnal emissions are common during adolescence age, after puberty and early young adult years. Some people wake up during the process, while some who don’t just wake up later only find that they have ejaculated on themselves.

One problem associated with wet dreams is that most times people actually are having sex in their dreams, making them feel as if they are masturbating while the dream is occurring and this is actually a deliverance case. The point to note here is that most of these unseen spirits can delve into our natural dream to manipulate it for their wicked operation. It is never a crime to go for deliverance if your case of wet dreams is alarming or becoming too regular. If you are addicted to masturbation, you can also experience a regular case of wet dreams, too. Therefore, engage yourself in regular fasting and prayer and God will give you victory. Train yourself also to resist the devil and the temptation to masturbate and always soak your dream life in the blood of Jesus before going to bed.
